Black Library Advent Calendar 2017

Nothing says Christmas like twenty-four days of Warhammer fiction, right? It’s become a Black Library tradition over the past few years to offer an Advent Calendar comprising of short stories and audio dramas, with a new tale revealed each day in the run-up to Christmas Day, and this year is no different. Over the course of Advent we’re going to be able to get our hands on fourteen short stories and ten short audio dramas, across 40k, the Horus Heresy (including The Primarchs) and Age of Sigmar – including the first pieces of Shadespire fiction!

Here’s the rundown by setting:

  • Warhammer 40,000: four short stories and four audio dramas.
  • The Horus Heresy: five short stories.
  • Primarchs: three audio dramas.
  • Age of Sigmar: five short stories and three audio dramas.

It looks like there’s going to be plenty to enjoy over the course of December, and as usual I’m going to be reviewing each and every one of the stories and audio dramas. There’s a list below of what’s coming, with as much information as Black Library have provided so far. I’ll link out to each review as soon as it’s written and available for you to read!

If you haven’t come across the Black Library Advent Calendar before, it’s worth pointing out that you can pick these stories and audios up individually, or alternatively you can pick up a ‘subscription’ package which gets you all of them, at a discount (£49.85, or 24 for the price of 15), with each day’s release added to your account each morning. If you’re like me, and want to read everything, then the subscription is definitely the way to go – here’s the link if you want to pick that up.

    1. Hi David! I’ve not heard a peep about day 25, this year. If I remember right, last year we got ebook versions of Garro and then Carcharadons: Red Tithe…would be cool to see another early Heresy book, right? Your guess is as good as mine right now, but I’ll keep my ear to the ground!
