This time I’m talking to the delightful Nate Crowley about his new book Notes From Small Planets, a travel guide to some of the most entertaining, sharply-observed science fiction and fantasy worlds imaginable. It’s published today by Harper Voyager, and if you have any interest in SFF – especially if you’re in need of a good laugh – then I really can’t recommend this enough!

In this instalment I spoke to the ever-prolific Josh Reynolds about his new book Wrath of N’Kai, the first Arkham Horror novel to be published by Aconyte Books. It’s due to be released as an ebook on the 1st September, with a US paperback edition released the same day and the UK paperback edition due on the 1st October. If you like a good occult detective story with a strong sense of 1920’s pulpy noir, this should be right up your street!

For this interview I spoke to Laura Lam about her new sci-fi thriller Goldilocks, which is published on the 30th April from Wildfire in the UK, and on the 5th May in the US from Orbit. It’s a topical, relevant story of space exploration tackling big issues and complex character relationships – I’ve read it, and it’s well worth checking out.

Over the course of the interview we cover topics including the challenges and joys of short stories, being under surveillance in Southeast Asia, the impact of memory on science fiction (and in particular Cyberpunk), and the differences that Australian and Southeast Asian influences bring to Napper’s stories.
