AUTHOR INTERVIEW: A.E. Warren Talks Subject Twenty One

Hello and welcome to this Track of Words Author Interview, where today I’m talking to A.E. Warren about her new novel Subject Twenty One – the first instalment in her Tomorrow’s Ancestors series. If you fancy a post-apocalyptic tale full of isolated communities, genetic engineering, repopulated species and Neanderthals, this is definitely one to check out – and it’s published by Del Rey in the UK (in paperback, ebook and audiobook editions) on the 1st of July. AUTHOR INTERVIEW: David Wragg Talks The Righteous

Welcome to this Track of Words Author Interview, where today I’m joined by David Wragg to chat about his new novel The Righteous, the sequel to The Black Hawks and the second part of his Articles of Faith series. I’ve just read The Black Hawks and had a lot of fun with it (keep an eye out for a review coming soon), so I’m really looking forward to reading the sequel, which is out on the 10th June from Harper Voyager. Translator Interview: Nikki Kopelman Talks Translating The Ming Storm

Welcome to this slightly unusual Track of Words interview, where rather than chatting to an author, this time I’m talking to translator Nikki Kopelman who has translated Yan Leisheng’s Assassin’s Creed novel The Ming Storm into English for Aconyte Books. First published in Chinese in 2019, The Ming Storm was translated into French in 2020, and now Nikki’s translation (from French into English) is available from Aconyte as a global ebook and US paperback, with the UK paperback edition due in August 2021. I find anything to do with translation fascinating, so I jumped at the chance to speak to Nikki and get her thoughts on the book, on Assassin’s Creed as an IP, and her experience of translating the book into a form that us English speakers can read and enjoy!

RAPID FIRE: Denny Flowers Talks Fire Made Flesh

Welcome to this instalment of my Rapid Fire series of author interviews, where today I’m talking to Denny Flowers about his debut novel for Black Library, Fire Made Flesh. Denny has already written a novella and various short stories as part of BL’s Necromunda range, but this is his first full-length novel – and it promises to be a great read for Necromunda fans, not least because it explores some of the Necromundan guilds in ways we haven’t seen before! Fire Made Flesh is available to order in paperback via the book trade (i.e. Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Waterstones etc.) right now, and is due to be available direct from Black Library/Games Workshop at some point in May, in paperback and ebook formats.
